In 2011, Matthew launched "24 HR Musical" with co-founder DJ Ulbert and a stellar team of young adults. 

The 24 HR Musical is the ultimate musical theatre challenge in which a TOP SECRET musical is rehearsed, tech-ed, and performed in only 24 hours. In lieu of an admission price, audience members have the opportunity to donate to Living Water International in an effort to end the water crisis and fatalities due to water-born illnesses. 

The event started out as an ambitious dream but has quickly become an annual tradition among Chicagoland. Made up of college and post college students, the 24 HR Musical team has hosted 3 smashing events in the name of clean water, raising well over $10,000 on top of staying completely debt free, all without charging one single admission.  In 2014, the first event outside of Chicagoland took place with the help of ACU Theatre on the campus of Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX. 

The goal of The 24 HR Musical is to create excellent theatre in the name of sacrifice and servanthood as well as creating a safe atmosphere for artists to commit themselves fully to their craft. We do this by welcoming imperfection and building a relationship with our audience, an audience that values passion over perfection.
